The Osteopathic Manual Practitioner at MedPlus Wellness Centre a graduate of the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy (SOCO) and is in good standing with the Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals (OFOP) which is a Partner Member of the Osteopathic International Alliance, a Rg. Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.
Osteopathic treatment that is rendered by a professional member of the OFOP is covered by all extended health care benefit providers.

OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is a form of drug-free, non-invasive manual medicine that focuses on total body health by treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, which includes the joint, muscles, and spine. Its aim is to positively affect the body's nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems.
This therapy is a unique, holistic (whole body) approach to health care. Osteopaths do not simply concentrate on treating the problem area, but use manual techniques to balance all the systems of the body, to provide overall good health and well being.
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is a natural and effective treatment modality which is part of a broader system of medicine call Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Acupuncture is unique as it traditionally uses very fine needles to pierce the skin at specific locations (Acupuncture points) in order to stimulate the body’s natural healing ability.
Acupuncture aims to treat the underlying cause of your condition and not merely the symptoms. The ultimate aim of Acupuncture is to restore health and then to maintain wellness for a lifetime.
